From your verandah, or the braai / lapa area in the garden, the Southern Drakensberg stretches before you, from south of Bushman's Nek, to north of Loteni! A spectacular sight all through the year, but unsurpassed when snow covers the peaks. Sylvia & Vernon Shephard assure you of a very warm welcome, and bring a number of years experience in the hospitality industry into our new venture. We are conveniently placed on the edge of Underberg village, just one hour from Howick on the R617, or an easy 2 hours drive from Durban. We offer a choice of 2 fully fitted self-catering units with a B&B option. Our upstairs unit has its own entrance from the garden, and verandah with a panoramic berg view. it has a full en-suite bathroom, and large open plan room with double bed and double sleeper couch. The kitchen is fitted with a fridge, microwave, double hot plate, cutlery, crockery, etc. There is a dining area and DStv. For those chilly winter nights, there is an electric blanket and large heater. Crane cottage in the garden, has a separate bedroom with double bed, electric blanket and heater, shower en-suite, fully fitted kitchen with stove and fridge, and a breakfast bar. The lounge includes a double sleeper couch, Jetmaster fireplace and DStv. Both units have braai facilities and are serviced daily. There is undercover parking. We invite you to relax, re-charge your batteries, or take part in any of the activities available in the area.
