Valemount Country Lodge invites you to a peaceful country breakaway!!

A very special place! An exceptional retreat, this gracious country house offers superb accommodation, excellent cuisine and perfect tranquility, along with personal warmth and care that is associated with true inn keeping. Valemount nestles in the serene surroundings of Underberg, which overlooks the Umzimkhulu valley of the Southern Drakensberg, a world heritage site. The Lodge is two hours drive from Durban and six hours from Johannesburg, access directly form the R617 to Kokstad.

A small, hospitable team happily cater to the individual requirements of our discerning patrons. Guests can enjoy a variety of activities including fly fishing, birding, walking, petanque and croquet. Golfers will enjoy a selection of three scenic golf courses nearby.

We will ensure that you, our discerning guest, will leave feeling relaxed and revitalised!

Valemount Country Lodge is set in beautiful gardens which blend into 48 ha of natural riverine bush an woodland. Guests can enjoy leisurely walks on the property, ramble up the trails or relax under the shade of our old gracious trees surrounding the Lodge.

The Lodge sleeps 12 guests in 2 comfortable bed and breakfast rooms and 4 luxurious suites. all rooms have on suite bathrooms.

The luxurious suites are a popular retreat for honeymooners and couples alike. Each suite has a kingsize bed, jet master fireplaces and romantic 2 have Victorian bathrooms. The other rooms have full bathrooms

Sumptuous breakfasts are served in the diningroom daily.

Directions

From N3, take EXIT 99 (R617) to Underberg. You will travel through BOSTON, BULWER and then Underberg. Travel through Underberg as if to Swartberg/Kokstad (still R617). Valemount is on you left 8km out of Underberg to your left (well sign posted).
